Viva la Verve!

Hooray! I actually got to stamp for two days in a row! I glanced at this week's Viva la Verve challenge last night, and at the inspiration pictures, and pretty much had a panic attack, lol. None of the inspiration pictures really "spoke" to me, and I sure can't do the vintage-y look very well. I'm more of clean line, crisp colors kind of gal.

This month, Amber (and Julee) have us walking through kitchens. I love kitchens! I love to cook and bake... It's probably one of my favorite rooms in the house. I especially love the kitchen when it is full of good friends. I settled on the first inspiration picture after getting home from work this afternoon. Something about the unusual color combo (for me, at least) was intriguing and needed to be played with.

I used my glue pen to add a glittered border to the sentiment, as well as added some ribbon to the sketch. What can I say, I have a ribbon/bow addiction. I was glancing at my splitcoast gallery last night and had to laugh at my cards.... I haven't made a card in months without a bow! I just love that little something they add to cards.

No stamping for me tomorrow night. I'm off to the ballet once again with my mom. We saw the Bolshoi last week perform Don Quixote, and we're off to see the Alvin Ailey Dance Company this week. I've never really attended a modern ballet performance before, but that company is so incredible... so artistic... that I am sure to enjoy it! It also means a late night on a work night, but it will be worth it, I'm sure. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
