Anni-Verve-sary Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Laurie's blog (doesn't she create the most amazing cards?!), If not, head on over to Julee's blog (Verve owner/designer extraordinaire) for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

I really wanted to tackle a slightly bigger project in honor of Verve's birthday, so a card gift box was quickly decided upon. I used a tutorial on SCS by the very same Laurie (which can be found here.) to create this box. It was pretty simple, which is just the way I like it! I also dragged out some older SU! dp, since it was bright and cheery (and this is a cheery event!).

One of my absolute favorite things about Verve are the sentiments and the incredible fonts. When I need a sentiment... Verve is my go to. Therefore, I knew my project for today needed to feature some fabulous sentiments from a bunch of different Verve sets. They just make me so happy all lined up and displayed like this!
I stuck with a same color theme for all of the cards, added contrasting papers, ribbon, and jewels to make them pop just a little bit more. So, there ya have it!

Thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Carolina’s blog, for a little more Verve-y goodness.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VERVE!

Anni-Verve-sary Blog Hop!

Welcome to the first ever official Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop. Verve turns two today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! The party kicked off over on the Verve blog, so if you’ve just happened along, be sure to hop on over there to start from the beginning! And to make this party a real shindig, there’s a mystery jackpot hidden at one of the stops along the hop. One lucky commenter on that blog will win Verve’s entire August release! But of course, it wouldn’t be a mystery if you knew which blog, would it? So if you’re feeling the love, give a little shout out to the bloggers in the hop and you just might have a reason to jump for joy!

Hopefully you arrived here from Susan's blog on your sight-seeing trip.

Since this is an anniversary celebration of Verve, how could I use any other colors besides an aqua/teal and brown?! I think these colors were definitely meant to go together. I decided in honor of this special celebration, I should create a card and a project. I reached from some matching dp from The Paper Loft and started creating.

I love these little milk cartons and thought they would make a great little get well gift. I plan on sticking a small pack of tissues in one, and maybe some throat/cough drops in the other. Or maybe some hot chocolate or tea for a soothing drink. I guess I'll officially decide when it's time to use it!

But of course, I couldn't have a project without a card. For the accompanying card, I case'd this card by Nichole Heady. I just loved how she attached that die cut shape to the end of the rectangular panel. Had to try it!

And finally, here is the complete project all together! Now, to wait for someone to get sick, lol. I am a huge fan of Verve stamps... They really are my "go to" stamps. They're always so elegant.

Thanks for stopping by! Now it’s time to hop on over to Tricia's Blog for a little more Verve-y goodness.
