Viva la Verve!

Good evening! I'm back after such a wonderful, long, holiday weekend. I ended up running up to my parent's house in the mountains for the weekend... And this was all decided at the last minute.

I feel like this card is a little rough around the edges. I feel slightly out of practice after not making a card for one solid week. After breaks, doesn't it just feel like the mojo takes a day or two to kick back in? It'll come.

This is a quick Viva la Verve sketch. I loved the colors in the third inspiration picture. Though, looking back at this, I'm wondering if I should have gone more Groovy Guava and less Terracotta Tile.... Too late now! I did stamp the Terracotta Tile with Giga Guide Lines in Versamark to add a layer of design. Some little jewels from Taylor's Tiny Twinkles added a bit of finishing touch. I'm moving on from this one and hoping the mojo kicks back in tomorrow, hehe.

I'm off to go watch some more Olympics! Hooray! Thanks for stopping by.

Stamps- Verve: Psalm 46:10, PTI: Giga Guide Lines
Paper- Rustic Cream, Dark Chocolate, Terracotta Tile (PTI), Wild Wasabi (SU)

  1. I loved the colours of this room and may give it a go in addition to the one I already made. Nice touches of bling and one of my favorite verses to boot :D Those bows are really coming along too!

To say Vancouver is full of energy and excitement is an understatement! It is so much fun watching the events and knowing exactly where they are because you've been there! With two golds after never having won a gold when we've hosted a Winter Olympics, Canada is off the chart excited. Can't wait till we get to go into Vancouver and experience the atmosphere :D Happy watching and cheering!!

  2. love the bling on this one :) I found this sketch challenging...didn't know what to do for the ribbon for the longest time. Yes, I've got Olympic fever like Marisa :) We are 3.5 hours away from Vancouver. I was born in North Van and lived there later while going to university. My son lives there now going to the same university. My class has been enjoying following the medal wins and learning where all these countries are on the map (Estonia?!). Yes, you should come and visit! The beautiful Butchart Gardens are in Victoria on Vancouver Island...about 1.5 hours from Vancouver by ferry. I went there on our honeymoon :) Very beautiful :)
