Viva la Verve!

I have a little bit of catch up to do with my June Viva la Verve challenges. I still need to go back and complete week 2, but this week's sketch was calling my name. We're continuing our walk through kids' rooms this week (and the whole month of June), and Amber had some wonderful inspiring rooms for us! I loved two of the rooms, but the pink and black room eventually won me over.

I stuck with the pink, black, and white theme, and even tried to mimic the stenciling on the back wall by using my large scallop punch, then tracing with a black maker. I love the uniqueness of this sketch with the off-center rounded panels in the back! Such a fun little accent! I popped of my sentiment to separate it a bit from the fun background.

Well, back to report cards for me. I'm determined to finish them up today. Determined... Of course, there will be stamping breaks here and there. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. oh!!! so elegant and beautiful...I want this room!!! Makes my decorating seem so blah :( Gorgeous scallops...love how you doodled on them. Yay, your reports are almost done too :) Ours had to be in early (due tomorrow, but I always do them a week ahead to get them done) as our principal needs to read 10 sets of them before we get them back. The field trip was good, except it poured rain 3 hours into it, so we went back early...but everyone had fun :) Yes, there's the added stress of losing someone or the high flyers not being able to handle the freedom of not being in the classroom. Luckily, I had arranged for most of my little guys to have their parents come too :)
