Sunday finally found me back at church for almost the first time in a month. I'm still trying to find a new home church to attend. It's only about a 30 minute drive to my old church, but I really feel convicted that I need to find something in my new community... Where I can become involved in studies and ministries. Know what I mean? Sunday was such a gorgeous day I just couldn't bear to sit inside and watch it pass. So, back outside we went.
I did manage to do a ton of unpacking Sunday evening and can officially say that I am just about unpacked from our move... finally, lol. Just one or two more tubs to go... and they're mostly the "last minute junk" tubs. Nothing immediately crucial. Good news, though! In the midst of my digging and unpacking, I found my scalloped edge punch! Woohoo! Therefore, in honor of it's resurfacing, I just had to use it on this card. :)
I love tilted panels and use them all the time when I'm scrapbooking. So often I forget that I can use them on cards, too. Thankfully, Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch had a fun tilted panel on it to play with this week.
I pulled out a new stamp set that I picked up at the class I went to with Taylor VanBruggen last month. I fell in love with this image in particular. I love the swirls, and the branch... So much so that I just had to add another branchy swirl behind it! I stamped an additional bird, popped it up, and folded out the top wing for a little 3D-ing. Some pearls and a little ribbon finished it off.
All right. I'm gonna run. My roomie just called from our good friend's house and apparently we are in need of more pumpkin bread. Amy and I made some about two nights ago and, well, it's gone. ;) It's soooo good! It seems Amy has been boasting about how yummy it is to Janice, and it is now necessary for me to go over there with our recipe and whip up another batch. You don't have to ask me twice to bake something. It might be my biggest addiction... next to stamping. I did tell them I would come after I finished this card, lol.
Well, thanks for stopping by!
