Sweet Sunday Sketch #42

Good evening! Is it just me, or is the suddenness of it getting dark earlier awfully strange? I left work around 4 today, and the sun was already setting! Though, I did enjoy that extra hour of sleep on Sunday morning.... Especially since we didn't get home from Disneyland until almost one in the morning! Eek!

I took a nod from Maureen, and turned Karen's Sweet Sunday rectangular sketch into a standard A2 card. I, too, don't really have any envelopes to fit the special shape of this week's sketch, even though I am liking it better and better. I'll have to look around and see if I can find some envelopes.

I still had some Cottage Wall dp sitting on my craft desk from yesterday's card, and just decided to run with it. When everything is already set out, it keeps things simple. And quick.

I tried out a couple of border punches for that top piece, and ended up with my EK Success wavy border punch again. I love this little punch. It may be in a tie for my favorite with my scalloped border. I added a little (medium?) sized bow 'cause it just needed a little something. Lastly, I used one of the sentiments from my new Mega Mixed Messages set from PTI that I won in a Papertrey blog hop a few months back! So many fun little sentiments in this set!

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Oh WOW!! this is a fav!! Love the wavy border, the dp, the main panel and the lovel ribbon!! It just all works together!! I have 3 cards on hold waiting for my Verve stamps...they are taking longer than usual. I blame it on our terrible postal service...if I was in the States, I would've had them a week ago!! LOL
