Here's my card for this week's Viva la Verve sketch challenge over on splitcoaststampers. The twist this week was to use our favorites: favorite colors, favorite stamps, and favorite embellishments.
I am completely in love with Baja Breeze. They seriously need to make this color a permanent fixture in the next catalog... It can't go away! I'm going to have to buy a million packs of it before the current catalog expires. I also love how it looks with Chocolate Chip, so that made picking colors really simple.
Since this is a Verve challenge, I pulled out my favorite Verve stamp, Psalm 46:10. Every time I use this stamp, I start singing the Steven Curtis Chapman song... Back in college, we used his song in my conducting class. I had to tear that song apart so that I could properly conduct it for a choir. Even though I listened/sang his a million times, it never gets old. I just love the words and knowing that no matter what He IS God. Beautiful, isn't it?!
My favorite embellishment is definitely ribbon, and buttons are definitely working their way up there. Buttons are a more recent discovery for me. I just wasn't sure how to use them on my cards and make them look good, but the more I play with them, the more I love 'em too!
Have a great rest of your week! Can't wait until Friday and my mini-holiday weekend getaway!
