Mojo Monday

Well, I'm back again with another card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I've been a busy bee working away at packing up my classroom- both a good and bad thing. Good because it forces me to go through all of the "stuff" I've accumulated over the last four years. Bad because my job is ending, and not just for summer break. Isn't it amazing the amount of "stuff" we have that we forgot we have?! Seriously, I have 3 tubs of "stuff" and 4 tubs of books from my classroom library and own personal teacher resource library. Crazy.

The colors I used on this card are completely opposite from my mood... Maybe it's a subliminal message. ;o) I just really needed to make a card that would lift me up a little bit more, rather than live in my usual cool colors.

I stamped the tulips once and then re-stamped the flowers and popped them up. I stamped the flowers again in pink and cut out the little middle strip. The thank you sentiment is actually a straight sentiment, but I cajoled and twisted it onto my acrylic block to make it fit the circle.... Not bad! I like how clear stamps allow me to manipulate them unlike rubber stamps. Opens a whole new realm of possibilities! I added a few jewels to the corner because something bigger felt like it was taking away from the rest of the card.

I didn't actually have Mellow Moss ribbon, so I colored some cream ribbon with my copic marker to match. Nifty little trick that works like a charm! I stamped the polka dots in Versamark and embossed them with white ep for some dimsension and to make them stand out a little bit more against the yellow.

Thanks for stopping by!
