Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #32

Good morning! With a little bit of luck, I made it out the door, to the airport, on the plane, and will be landing in Oregon today. Better late than never, no?! Vacation, here I FINALLY come!

The interview yesterday went well. It was a half-hour long 12-questions session in front of a panel. But they seemed really friendly (as I've found most teachers to be) and I'm kind of glad it's over. I always get really nervous in the hours leading up to an interview! There's so much pressure! I was amazed, and humbled, to hear that there had been 800 applicants for these two positions in the three days the job was listed, and I was one of probably around 10 they selected to be interviewed! Wow! God is so good!

I've been a busy bee for the last week trying to produce enough cards to have something post on my blog almost ever day that I am gone. I think I'm down to one, maybe two days with no post. Not bad!

Here's the other card I made using a sketch from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I was too excited to post it. So much for waiting until later in the week/next week, lol! This was actually last week's sketch, but I loved it too and it needed to be played with! It was quick, simple, and lots of fun for mixing patterned papers.

I inked the branch in Crushed Curry, stamped off, and then stamped on my panel. After adding the sentiment, I sponged more Rich Razzleberry around the perimeter for even more depth. Some Crushed Curry ribbon and a bow almost finished it off. I got the whole card finished and really felt like it needed something down in that bottom right corner to balance that big bow up in the top left corner. Jeweled brads to the rescue! I wish these had been gold jewels, but beggars can't be choosers.

Thanks, Mercy, for another fantastic sketch to play with each Tuesday!
