Sweet Sunday Sketch #28

Good morning! I was supposed to be on an airplane this morning... Sometimes God has a really weird sense of humor. I got a call late yesterday afternoon from South Pasadena School District asking me to come in and interview tomorrow. I told them I was going out of town and would be back next Friday. I was quickly told that was "too bad." Needless to say, I quickly investigated changing my plane tickets and will now be flying out to Oregon on Thursday morning. It was a little expensive, but after talking with some wonderful people, and praying through it, I think it's worth it. The price I paid is a lot less than the price of not having a job. I have another strong possibility at another school in Corona that I've already interviewed for and am awaiting the scheduling of my second interview after I return from vacation. Isn't life like a feast or famine? One day there is nothing, I'm jobless, and no one is calling. The next, I have two strong possibilities calling... And I have to postpone my vacation that I've been postponing all summer because of doctor visits. I love that God knows EXACTLY what He's doing cause I sure don't know what's going on, lol.

Anyways, I'm back today with my card for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch this week. She challenged us all with an atypical card shape... and one that always takes me some work. For some reason these long rectangles just give me a thorough working every time. But it's good to keep trying, over and over and over.

I love the simple layout she gave us this week. And there's even a little place for a button! Of course, we didn't have to use a button there. It could have been any kind of embellishment, but why in the world would I pass up an opportunity to put a button on my card?!

This is almost a SUO card. Everything except the button itself. Even the twine is SU! I just couldn't do it! lol I also added some glossy accents to the flower heads and the butterfly for a little shimmer.
Oh, another positive to being here two extra days is that I have more time to stamp! Yay!

Thanks for stopping by!
