Viva la Verve!

Good morning! If it's before noon, I'm packing. If it's noon, I'm flying. If it's about three, I'm driving. If it's seven, I've made it to my destination. It's a travel day for me once again. Now that it's here, I'm getting a bit more excited. Love that last minute adrenaline! I'm flying to Portland today to attend another wedding reception for my sister. But before I head into Washington, I'm driving down into Corvallis, OR to visit some dear friends of mine. Here's hoping my rental car has a great sound system!

For the month of August, Amber has us all walking through Master Bedrooms to gather inspiration. I absolutely had to pick the first of the three inspiration pictures this week. The colors literally screamed out at me to pick them. That floral print, the leaves... Love at first sight. I started with the three main colors and built them up with layers on my card. I did stain around the edges of the white paper to soften the starkness a bit (ordered new tea dye stains last night! Yay!). I popped up the whole green panel, tied a crisp, white ribbon in a bow, and stamped a sentiment in black underneath the whole thing.

I finished, photographed, and uploaded this card before I realized that I had left off the two little side details in the sketch. Oops! Don't tell Amber!

It's going to be a little quieter here on the blog for the rest of the week and weekend. I do have a few posts scheduled to go up in my absence, but not a whole bunch. Have a wonderful weekend!! Thanks for stopping by!
