Fall to Layout

Looking for the Anni-Verve-sary Blog Hop? Click here.

Good morning! I have a quick card to share with you today that I created using this week's Fall to Layout sketch. I always love the clean and simple look. And it can so easily be dressed up as well.

I got a call yesterday from my aunt asking if I would be willing to make some baby shower invites for my cousin's shower in September. Yahoo!!! I love making cards, and making them with a person in mind always makes it more fun. I know that Timmy and Erin are having a little boy, so I stuck with a blue and brown color scheme. I added some star dust stickles to the polka dots on the umbrella for just a little hint of sparkle. :) I also pulled out both of my tea dye stains to antique the edges of the craft and the white paper. My poor dyes are almost dry, and I've roughed out the sponges quite a bit... I get little pieces of sponge all over me when I use them now, hehe. It may be time to order some new ones... and some refills to go with them this time. :)

I'm back to the laundry and packing once again today. I fly out tomorrow morning for Washington and another wedding reception for my sister and her husband (ok, still weird). But I'm going to visit a few friends in Oregon before picking up my parents at the airport on Saturday and heading into Washington. I really am excited to see everyone, but the thought of leaving home again after barely being home is a little hard. I love being home. And I've been home so little this summer. At least everything I've been away for has been wonderful!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. So cute! Scattered Showers is still on my wish list, and I love how you've combined the umbrella with the Blossom Nestie--they are a perfect match!
